Got this litt tattle carbon monoxide unit to put in the furnace room to monitor for peace of mind and my neighbor recently had a CO2 scare around the holidays & it took over an hour for the utility company to show up. This unit is easy to test & seems to be running just fine! Great price !

This is perfect for any kind of carbon monoxide scenario that you may be concerned about. I specifically use this while camping while I'm using my buddy heater to make sure there's not too much carbon monoxide in the air. It seems to work exactly as designed. It doesn't come with batteries unfortunately, but they're easy to install. This probably isn't the best one on the market by any means, but it's a good value/budget option. I haven't had any issues with it yet.

This is a small sized carbon monoxide detector. I ordered it to mount in my 20 year old A-Liner travel trailer which is currently not equipped with such a detector. My trailer has a propane stove and onboard propane heater so it is advisable to have a CO monitoring device inside to warn against rising levels of this dangerous, odorless gas. The detector takes two AAA batteries (not included). There is mounting hardware in the box - two screws, to attach the device to a wall or cabinet. Upon equipping the detector with batteries it went through a "powering" cycle then the LCD screen went blank which doesn't mean it's not working, but it is continually monitoring in a low power mode. I feel a lot safer with this device in my trailer rather than just relying on a cracked window to allow any noxious fumes to escape while my propane appliances are running. Unit appears to be of high quality and the small size is idea for use in a tight space such as a travel trailer. I was unable to fully test the unit to ensure that it will alert us in case of CO buildup but I am confident enough in its manufacturing quality to trust it will adequately perform its duties.

It's difficult to provide a review for an item like this because I have no real way to test it's capability, other than for a real carbon monoxide problem which I'm not going to try to simulate. It takes two AAA batteries (included) and it starts right up. It does a self test including an audible alarm and then goes into standard detection mode. All that seemed to work fine. The unit is smaller than I expected as it does fit in the palm of your hand. I have no problem with this as long as it works as intended. The screen has no continuous display which I'm fine with because that'll help keep the batteries alive longer. It does display a gentle green flash every 30 seconds to demonstrate that it's functioning which is nice. The instructions do say to keep it at least 15 feet from any fuel burning devices. We have oil heat in our home and I put the device about 25 feet away from it. Been there for a few days with no alarms. So far, I have no real issues with the unit. It seems to be functioning fine. My only lingering questions are, will it actually work if there is a carbon monoxide leak in my home, and how long do the batteries last? I'll be able to answer the latter at some point, and honestly I hope to never have a carbon monoxide problem so I don't expect to ever have this thing alarming on me. But if that ever happens, I will update this review. I do have standard mounted fire/cm detectors in my house as well, but this is the closest one to my furnace room so if there's ever an issue, it should alarm first. As of right now, I have no reason to give this any deduction in stars as it all seems to be working perfectly and seems like a well-made little device.
