This is the DEWALT 142Pc tool set. These are great quality of tools. You can use this set for fixing vehicles or any household projects. It has multiple metric and standard sizes and it’s a great value for the price. My husband uses this set almost every day.

Really great set of tools - exactly what i have come to expect from Dewalt.I have a lot of their 20v tools, but this was my first entry into their hand tools - I had used the same brand as my father for many years.This was on par with the other brands that are sold at most of the box stores. This is a good solid set of well built tools. Enough variety in the socket and ratchet sizes for any DIY project i have going.

I was pretty impressed with this DeWalt mechanics toolset right out of the box. First off, the case is a step up from what I usually see with toolsets in this price range. It's sturdy, well-made, and everything fits snugly inside. Nothing falling out when I open or close it.The tools themselves seem solid too. I especially like the compact ratchet heads – they make a huge difference when working in tight spaces. The knurling on the sockets and extensions provides a good grip, and the size markings are easy to read. So far, I've only used them for some light DIY projects around the house, but they've performed well.While I wouldn't put them in the same league as professional-grade/industrial tools, this DeWalt set offers excellent value for the money. You get a comprehensive selection of most used around the house tools at a very reasonable price. It's a great starter set for beginners or a handy addition to any DIYer's collection. Plus, it comes with a lifetime guarantee, which is always a bonus.

First impressions: I realize that the case has little to do with tool performance, but DeWalt’s packaging is pretty impressive and a cut above others I have seen. Its blow-molded plastic case with no manufacturing defects, and each piece is well contained and held snugly in its place. DeWalt’s case also comes with metal latches, an upgrade from the plastic clamps that typically hold those other toolboxes together.The Tools: I don’t know if I would place DeWalt tools in the same group as professional tools, but I do know that they are a budget-friendly/affordable option. This set is very similar to some of the new well-known name brand tools, except that your dollar goes a little further because this DeWalt set includes more tools for a similar price. DeWalt is known best for their quality power tools and it makes you wonder…” What do they know about hand tools?” Since DeWalt is now a part of the Stanley Black and Decker family…can we assume similar quality and reliability? The low-profile ratchets feature the standard 72-tooth drive and the handles are comfortable to work with. The compact head is my favorite detail as it makes a major difference when space is limited. I also like the quick-release function. Every socket, extension, and adapter feature a knurling pattern (to provide for a better grip) and legible sizing engraved in them. The bit driver is better than most, and the bits come in their own dedicated wells. Even the Allen key selection is pretty impressive in their jointed sleeves.In Conclusion: I have been using these tools for relatively light/home/DIY projects for only a few jobs. So, reliability and consistency over time is unknown. This kit includes nearly double the tools that kits of a similar quality offer, making this one of the best budget-friendly kits out there. A professional probably wouldn’t build an entire collection around this DeWalt set…but they will suffice for the beginners seeking a starter set. The lifetime guarantee is a plus.
