Whilst I already had the camera tripod, this light is strong and perfect for continuing my golf practise once dark, which is quite early over winter.I'd recommend for your application.

I get the illumination I need without the cables. And, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it dimmed to three settings: High/Medium/Low - by pressing the on/off button. Solid, and much lighter than the battery (not included). Although I use it mainly for wall painting, I also expect to use it during a power failure.
