Work perfectly and assuage my concern about exposed plugs and extension cords sitting out in the lawn. Very easy to use, kept things dry.BONUS: Each one comes with an accessory piece so you can hang it from hooks along the eaves if needed.WARNING: When you go to open them after they've been on for a while, be careful. the little rubber stoppers at top and bottom on both edges (the come in two pieces) that go around the cord and keep the water out want to pull out sometimes. Not at all a default, just something to look out for so you don't lose them in the lawn. IN fact to me, that proves that they are a tight seal!

These units are well made and thoughtful in design. They work great on round cords but not so much on stranded cords like christmas strings. They do work with christmas strings so long as they are placed level and the cords drape a bit at the entry/exits. If they are tilted at all, then water will follow the strands into the device

These work perfectly for christmas lights that are interlinked from 1 string to the next and the basic light duty extension cords I used.It was challrnging to figure out how to open the tube. The 4 end tabs have to be opened, as well as the large center flap. Once opened, there are 2 loose items inside the protector. I did not even use them. Apparently, 1 item is to precent the cords from sliding I presume and the 2 item looked almost like a "T" shaped plastic item. Not sure of it's purpose. The round grommets will need to be pulled apart and then reinserted back into the ends of the protector. They have been pre cut so they still look like 1 piece but, they are easily separated with your fingers.Overall, I like that it seems to be very secure, sealed, and should prevent water from getting into it.

I have to run an electric pump about 300 feet away from an outlet using many extension cords. If it rains or even gets a bit wet out, everything comes to a halt. These things fixed that problem completely. I also use one for a security camera, which has been doing its job for over 5 months now without a problem.Although a little unwieldy to properly seal up with the cords in there and not have something fall out of place, once done, they keep everything dry and working. When assembling, be gentle, as you can easily break off a tab. Once you've got it closed though, it's a pretty sturdy cover and does exactly what it says it does.
