Right off the bat, I made a mistake here; I got this hoping it would work with my non-Delonghi machine, and who'd have guessed, it doesn't fit. That is not the manufacturer's fault, so I cannot tell you whether or not it will work in the listed Delonghi devices, but I can say it appears to be made of quality materials and specifications. The handle is smooth and sturdy, easy to grip without any wobble in the connection to the basket. The portafilter itself slots in and out relatively easily, and all the holes appear to be stamped out very well. As stated though, apart from the quality I cannot speak to how well it works in the listed machines, as I was hoping it'd work with mine and it does not. The other reviews here appear to agree that it will work in the specified machines, so with that in mind it seems to be a well made product, and it does deserve the full 5/5

This is a beautiful bottomless portafilter.The mahogany handle is the star of the show. The stainless steel basket is shiny and has a good weight to it. This thing is heavy for a portafilter.The basket for the grounds is removable. You really have to push to separate it. I found that replacing the basket was even more difficult. You have to have the right balanced pressure to push it back in. It is definitely not as easy as my original portafilter.I learned something by trying this portafilter. I have been buying accessories for my espresso machine, like tampers and distributors, and I always check for the diameter of the basket and make sure that I am getting the right 51 mm size. What I did not realize is that when you are buying a portafilter, there is one other measurement to check - the thickness of the prongs or ears. In this case, the prongs were 5.5 mm. While this sounds small, they were too big for my espresso machine. So make sure to check this before purchasing.Otherwise, this is a great quality and good looking bottomless portafilter.
