I am learning how to wire wrap, and I wanted a soft inexpensive wire to use while practicing.This wire is perfect. The color is great.NOTE: This is a little harder to bend than soft copper wire. But, for stainless, it is easily bent.Fits my needs 100%

This 304 Stainless Steel .6mm wire seems as nice as any other I've used. I would advise the .5mm if you wish to make really tight twists as it seems to bend just that little bit easier.

This steel wire, though thin, is not very soft. You can not use it like you would use sterling, or coper wire, in jewlry. Youi can bend it by hand, but it is very difficult to get a tight wrap even to do a small piece of weork, like attach a clasp or charm to a chain. I suspect it would be no better for wire wrapping, though that's something I don't do.It would be good for attaching pieces of hardware cloth to build a cage, for example (as I did, to protect seedlings from maurading birds).I suspect it wold be OK for use in armaturews for sculpture. I didn't try it that way as I haven't made one in years and do not have the correct materials at hand.I got it to uise as bails, inserted directly in hot glass. I haven't had a chance to try that yet because the weather has been too awful to think about sitting in my outdoor/ semi-enclosed studio long enough to do any serious work, but if we get a break from the 99% humidity and 90 degree weather, I will be out there and am looking forward to giving it a try. I will update this review when I do. If it works well I will upgrade my star rating and post to glass boards, bvut as a jewelry material for hand work.... it is not really soft enough to work comfortably.

I'm don't have any necklace or crafting plans for this wire. I do however want to have some strong thin wire on hand, and this fits the bill. If I need to tie something up, or better yet if I'm spray painting something I refurbished, I much rather prefer to hang the piece to paint rather than try to lay it on sides and paint it one side at a time, or let it rest on a painted side and mess up the paint. I had gotten into restoring old USA bench vises, and after the first couple I did, I found hanging the parts on a string to paint them worked out much better than trying to do it by hand. The only problem is regular string didn't work out too well on those heavy parts. This will do nicely, and I have 100 feet of it in case I need anything else to use it on. It's thin, metal, and strong. I tried to use a pair of pliers to break off the end to get the string started, and I found I couldn't twist break it, despite clamping and twisting hard. So, I call that a plus.

I needed some wire for a craft project that was a little more stiff than the usual coated copper wire I use and this was perfect.
