I bought this thinking the old one was a better unit. The Mavic 3C has a better gimbal protector. It holds the gimbal in one position when fitted properly. The old one just covers it and feels like it could still take damage somehow. I did love the magnetic clamp over the plastic hook at the bottom but that also allows access to the USB/Memory Chip port without removing the cowl, this one you have to unstrap it access that port.Addition: well there’s a reason it shaped like that. I sold my M3C and got the M3. The camera is bigger so, delete all the above and get this if you need one for your M3!!!
