I am a dog trainer and THOUGHT these would be great for clients. I loved that they had the adjustable tab and that I could attach any leash I wanted, as opposed to a standard slip leash.I was VERY disappointed. First off, they're too thick. 2nd, the leather takes up way too much of the collar and makes it chunky. 3rd, and WORST of all...the 4 collars I asked clients to try out ALL broke within 1 month. The 2 I used myself for walking dogs frayed and glue (instead of actual stitching), started to come apart on the leather after 5 weeks when only being used to walk dogs.TERRIBLE collar!!

I have two Dobermans, one with a 17" neck and one with an 18" neck behind the ears and jaw. Because of prior reviews stating this product runs small I purchased the 24" length. In reality it was only 18" of "usable" length. The collar was extremely tight getting past his jaws and ears. It was also tight while in place. There is no way I could use this product in training because I don't feel he would be able to breathe during extreme exertion. I like the rope. It appears to be strong. The leather ends have good stitching and appear to be able to handle the stress. I would go up a grade on the metal rings. They appear to be a little light. If this product ran more true to size I would have given it 5 stars.

bought this collar for my sister who has a Chesapeake Bay Retriever puppy who is pretty much a moose! It is working great for him so far, it doesn't stick when trying to release after he pulls on it. would definitely order again

Had to return: the measurement a) is wrong and b) has nothing to do with the size of the dog's neck or head. I ordered 20", and at max it is 18" so won't fit over his head.I've ordered a larger one, because it seems of good quality

I liked the 20 inch collar but it was not built for a bigger dog that likes to pull. It worked well until my dog tried to chase after a bicyclist. My dog broke the collar and it could have been bad. The 24 inch collar is thicker and appears more robust but I'll post on that one later.
