Just as advertised. My son has had a blast rocking out. Very quiet. Easy to put together. Folds fairly flat for storage up against a wall or in our case beside the couch

This electronic set simulates a standard set with a snare, 3 toms, a kick, hi-hat and crash/ride cymbals.Setup was easy enough and took about 30 minutes. The frame is large tubular steel with drum key-type bolts for all connections. Once setup it feels sturdy with no shake or wobbling. The drum pads have a 2 layer mesh for proper rebound like a real drum and they are velocity sensitive so it can tell if you are hitting softly or hard. Hitting the rims does register a hit but not different as in a "rim shot", which sounds different. The rebound is really good and allows you to use real drum technique that would carry over to real drums. The pedals are fine with decent resistance and return but there isn't any tension adjustment. The stool is functional but crude. The seat merely tightens to the shaft but you can't rotate or else it comes loose. Technically it's a drum stool but not great. The frame has a fair bit of adjustment to get the kit spaced out properly to fit your body though the tilt of the snare was a little tricky and required the "arms" to be splayed out for the proper angle.I'm no expert drummer but I know the basics and how a real kit feels and sounds and this is pretty satisfying. The controller has 15 different kits with styles that sound like rock, pop and jazz and 1 that is slightly synthy. There are headphones included, which is nice for keeping the noise down. The headphones are ok, nothing great but they work. Any wired headphones will work also with a standard 3.5mm jack. Mostly I used the kit with the line out going to a portable speaker and that sounded great. The controller does have advanced settings to adjust everything drum and cymbal separately. This includes sensitivity, loudness, crosstalk and several more parameters. This works well and really lets you dial in the kit for your taste. For example, I bumped up the cymbal volume as they were too quiet out of the box. At max sensitivity for example, I could easily get over 300 bpm and more was possible. The controller needs usb power. What I did instead was just attached a power bank and then I didn't need to have anything dangling across the room.At this price point there is really nothing to complain about. The set feels good, sounds good and has tons of kits and adjustments. It is a really well designed and considered electronic drum set.

Overall: A nice set for a beginner.I was surprised at how good this drum set is. I wasn't expecting it to feel clunky and sound mediocre, but it is actually pretty decent. It plays pretty similarly to the normal drums, in terms of positioning and striking, so it didn't take much adjustment to get rocking. My one gripe, and I have learned it is a common thing with electric drum sets, is that you cannot do a cymbal roll. There is a split second dead time between cymbal strikes, so you cannot make a sustaining sound by striking them very quickly. The mesh pads however have a very minimal dead time, and you can roll on them fairly decently. The pedals feel like they will hold up decently and have good rebound. The throne is just okay. It is not super smooth when you need to twist a little, and the seat wobbles a tad as well. But really, this set in not about the throne, it is about the drum pads and their sound, which is pretty good.I was able to get this working on the provided headphones, as well as my portable speaker that has an auxiliary input. The sound quality is actually better than I was expecting. It folds up somewhat neatly, depending on how much adjusting you want to do, and it can be tucked away in a closet if space is a concern.Assembly did take almost an hour, combined with trying to figure out the interface. That said, this is meant to be a starter kit, and to that end it is actually pretty great. If you are an experienced drummer, the higher level kits are probably a much better option.
