I put them on and the sound is horrible. Boxy and completely ruined the sound of the headphones. I am going to return these. I went to the manufacturer's website and placed an order. It's mind blowing how difficult the sound is. It's like the headphones are in a cup. Boxy and muffled sounding. 1/10

These covers are fantastic. Just be prepared to curse and swear A LOT when trying to put them on your phones. There is a post on YouTube that will help, but they're still a B**ch to put on !

Fits perfectly. My fiancé’s was deteriorating so I purchased these to replace. The first one took about 2 years to start shedding material.

The copy on this says "After Watch Youtube video instruction you will easy to replace this dt 770 pro ear pads." but they have no video. I recommend searching for Accessory House's DT770/DT990 Pad replacement video for instructions on replacement.It can be difficult to replace these under normal circumstances, but the extra wide skirt on these makes it doubly so. Once installed, the fit around the cup is good and the pads do look nice.Significantly thicker and stiffer than the stock pads, the headphones feel tighter on the head, and the "leather" version quickly gets hot on the ears. Some may prefer the tighter fit, but after extended use it becomes bothersome for me. The interior diameter is smaller than the stock, covering the outer edges of the speaker by almost a quarter inch further than the stock pads--though I find it does not interfere much with the sound.Overall, I wished I had ordered other pads and will probably end up replacing these soon.

Good fit and very comfortable, sound is enhanced bass, mids and treble seem unaffected, 990's have enhanced bass and treble though. I'm not a velour fan so, replaced those immediately. These are thicker than OEM velour.
