These dampening gels have been of low quality compared to moon gels on the adhesiveness. I have had to use up many since they do not stick if you just remove them from the packaging and apply it on a tom. Keep in mind that the more you stick and unstick these they will lose their adhesiveness and will start making a buzzing sound that will come in through a microphone. There is not a way to avoid the buzzing unless you press them down hard but eventually will start buzzing again, this is a big issue. I discovered that if you remove the very thin sheet that is on the non-adhesive side of the gel you will definitely see that they are a lot stickier. I have not tried them on my drums but hope that they function a lot better.

These are a nice cheap alternative to other brand named products. Unlike moongel, these don't remain sticky over time and seem to be a bit heavier. That means that they dampen a -bit- more, and they won't be infinitely re-positionable. But at this price, I'm not sure if I care... just toss 'em and use a new one.

Had a few initial issues with getting them to stick, but he then realized he was stretching them a bit before he stuck them on... You don't want to to that. also be sure you clean the heads first. They really deaded the sound and work as expected... Perfect for our grand daughter who is just learning to play.
