Installed in 2010 Ford Ranger. Had to drill out the original rivets, and just used screws I had to install these instead of riveting them in. Been in use for a couple of months and is working great.

I bought these door handles for my 2005 Ford Ranger after breaking my driver side door handle. I was very happy with them at first because having a door handle is better then climbing through the passenger side to open your door! The handles lasted me all summer with no issues but as soon as it started to get cold outside they started to get brittle. I was so scared to open my door throughout the winter and sure enough after about 2-3 weeks of freezing temperatures they snapped clean off. They are easy to install and decent value for the money but the durability is NOT that good at all especially in colder climates.

Purchased for a 2004 Ford Ranger in March 2021 and, due to transmission problems, it didn't see anything close to normal use. Got the transmission fixed in September and less than a week of normal use the hinge snapped. If I had to guess, I would estimate less than 100 total uses before complete failure. The OEM handle is riveted in and requires drilling out to replace. For the reinstall, I just used hex cap bolts, washers (on both sides) and Teflon nuts (all stainless). The hex cap bolt had the clearance needed, where as a regular bolt stuck out quite a bit. I didn't note the size or length of the bolt, but I used an 11mm nut if that helps.TRQ makes a full metal versions of this handle, which is what I replacing this one with. I couldn't find one with the same or similar construction on Amazon and don't think I'm allowed to link to external sites, but I included an image with the full metal one with the part number.

They were easy to install. Make sure you have a good cobalt drill to drill out the original rivets in the door. I have a Ford ranger. After drilling the old rivets out everything was easy. I used new bolts and nuts to attach the new handles. Worked well. Handle seems slightly flimsy because it is all plastic, but it is holding up soo far.
