Installed the first one in September 2024 and today February 27th 2025 it broke. Luckily it came in a two pack. Now I need to find where I put the second one and install it. Worst part is this is an extra vehicle for the wife and I and it doesn’t get driven every day. 2 months of that 6 months it didn’t get driven due to the fact I was building the suspension under it. Hope the second one lasts a little longer..

Ok, so old yet trusty Ford Explorer... EXCEPT for the door handles. Sadly the original handles were made with a plastic part which eventually breaks. If that little piece, like a tiny little piece, had been metal, it would last forever. Alas, you're buying this instead. Good news: same part, works fine. And it's reasonably priced. So if you have an old Explorer, maybe have a few of these on hand because you may need them. Changing is a pain, again, no knock on the product here, just the reality of owning an older car.
