It arrived and works as expected, but Amazon thinks it's perfectly fine to ship them in a plastic bag with zero padding or extra packaging. Just a glass tube in a box in a plastic bag, I'm shocked it survived.

I ordered gold pin 12ax7 tubes. The tubes shipped are standard pin tubes. Your lack of attention to detail just set my project back at least a week while I wait for suitable replacements. Thanks jerks.One might think that simply having gold plating on the pins would not affect the sound that much. The "Gold Pin" tubes not only have the gold plated pins, but also have different internal component specs. They sound quite a bit different from their standard pin counterparts, have more corrosion resistance on their pins, and are also more physically robust.Hopefully this was just a mistake by the vendor, and not a bait-and-switch. Either way, the result is the same. I'm never purchasing from Root Supply again.

This sounds so good. Replaced the original 12ax7 in my 50W Milkman "The Amp". Sounds silky and beautiful.

Saved my Vox valvetronix ad100vt-xl. Beautiful tube. Night and day difference. Will update on longevity. We have only had it a few weeks
