For what I need -- an infrequently used 3 phase connector -- it worked. And it was so much less expensive than a name brand connector. But you get what you pay for, and the quality is not great. Things that were somewhat difficult to manage:1. 12 gauge wire was difficult to insert in between the clamps. The fixed side of the clamp was not visible when looking down the circular opening, and the screwable clamp partially blocked the insert opening, so you had to angle the wire into the opening and hope for a clean insertion. It was difficult to know if any insulation was inserted in the clamping area which would have compromised the connection.2. After hooking up the 4 wires one needed to then reassemble the plug portion with the base, with two connecting screws. The heads of the screws were very small, and screwing back into the plastic of the base was very hard (friction). The screw heads almost stripped out even while taking as much care as possible. The metal heads are too small, the metal too soft.3. The base opening for the cord is very tight. I could barely get a 12 gauge 4 wire SO cable inserted -- often one needs 10 gauge for an L15 connector, and I doubt if you could use the plug for 10 gauge.It works and if you're very careful, you can make it work and save money. But don't expect high quality.
