My wife was excited to try this. I think she saw the "Vitamix" in the description and thought it was from the company, a mistake I made on our last container purchase.I am becoming less and less inclined to use plastic lately, so thought trying out a metal blender would be interesting.While not a deal-breaker, the edges could use some smoothing. Slightly more of a deal breaker is the lid is really difficult to get on and off, especially when the arthritis is acting up.Total deal breaker is the thing that sticks out the bottom sticks out to far. It wobbles when sitting on the counter, so will scuff up the counter over time, but also doesn't seat fully onto the Vitamix!I don't know how this made it through the design phase and into production. It definitely needs some redesign if they actually plan on continuing with it.Thank you for reading, I hope it was helpful.

The container is durable and feels very sturdy. It fits perfectly with my Vitamix blender and I have had no issues with leaking or spilling. The stainless steel material also makes it easy to clean after use. I love that I can blend hot liquids without worrying about damage to the container. Overall, I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a high-quality blender container.

I've got an old-school Vitamix 5200 tgat gas kasted ne fir iver 15 years now. I was excited to see this, thinking it would be a good addition to my Vitamix toolkit.What I like about this stainless steel carafe:1 It's made from stainless steel and therefore essentially indestructable.2 Even though it wobbles (see notes below) it did a good job of blending my smoothieWhat I don't like about it:1 It wobbles, even when it's on the base of the Vitamix. I then tried it on a flat, smooth, granite countertop and it still wobbled. It wabbles because the plate that connects to the base is lower than the sides of the carafe itself.2 Unlike the carafes that come with the Vitamix, you can't see inside easily while it's blending. Although this should be fairly obvious, it's worth saying3 I have a hard time removing the lid from the carafe, so when I used it to make my smoothies, I kept the lid slightly askew. I didn't want to fight the lid with a blender full of smoothie

I can't exaggerate just how bad this is. It's total junk. Don't buy it. It's honestly the worst item (value-wise) I've ever reviewed on Amazon.First, the metal is much more flimsy than I'd expect; it even bent in shipping despite being double-boxed. See the top of the photo, how the edge of the base is bent in.Second, the metal is just stamped steel and has some sharp edges, when it really should have been nicely rounded off, so I don't even feel comfortable holding it or cleaning it.Third, it doesn't mount very snugly on my Vitamix so it makes excessive noise and shifts around. I worry that this could cause damage to the motor.I can't believe they are charging over $100 for this. It's completely worthless and is going straight to the trash.
