Because I apparently can't read really well, I was surprised when this thing showed up and it was just a single hoop. Of course, 5-in-1 obviously means there's just one hoop and can swap out the covering to get the other reflectors. So far, we've just used the silver and gold reflectors. They both work great. The silver seems to keep the tone of the light that is shining on it pretty well. The gold does a great job of making an white light look more like "golden hour" illumination. The only complaint, if it's even that, is that the reflector material is a little wrinkly and the hoop is obviously not terribly stiff. This means that the reflection that it throws is not uniform--there are brighter and darker spots (think of reflections off moving water). This hasn't bothered us too much, but if you're looking for uniform illumination, you probably won't be terribly happy.

Love this thing! I use it for senior portrait photography mostly and it really changes the game. I used to be worried about finding shade for days with harsh sunlight, but the diffuser portion of this item helps immensely! I suggest getting a slightly larger size to help avoid any unevenness.

I do not use reflectors very often, which is why I did not need dedicated ones. Of course, it can be annoying to have to remove the reflectors to use the diffuser, or to have to turn the zipper inside out. I wish the colors were white/silver on one side and gold/black on the other, but it is not a big problem. I am glad I purchased this kit.

Definitely worth the buy, your photos come to life. The Gold face of the reflector creates a beautiful warm feeling, setting a sunny tone to almost every shot. It’s inexpensive and versatile, easy to fold and use once you’ve understood the concept of use. This reflector is amazing ❤️
