Very nice! Turn on Auto and you get a night light that turns off with enough light. Still awaiting a power outage at night to confirm they turn on but the night light works great and as a flashlight will do in an emergency. Excellent to have, I put one in the bedroom and by the major exits.

I have these plugged in the wall on each floor and by each bedroom. Lights up when power goes out so it is easy to see when walking. Also can be used as a flashlight. I would recommend everyone having at least one on each floor.

I bought two sets of these - one for my mother and one for my mother-in-law, both senior citizens with enough issues already living alone that I wouldn't want them to be struggling to find their crappy flashlight in the dark. Plugged one in at the bedroom, another in the main living area, and a third in the bathroom. They work exactly as described: a soft nightlight when the photosensor detects darkness, which makes it easy to find, and a bright flashlight on the opposite side. For the cost it's an excellent value in home safety and security.

I was real cautious while doing my research on which blackout lights to buy. I saw a lot of reviews that said the unit melted or caught fire, which is nuts. I figured Eton and American Red Cross would have to be a pretty decent combo. And the price was right too.I've had 3 of these plugged into wall outlets in my house and they worked exactly as I expected during a power outage. Gave me enough light to see the electrical panel area so I could flip my generator panel switch to get the power back on. Another one of them lit the way through the basement to the panel.All in all, great purchase.
