I am 64yr . Did a great amount of reading on the RO systems. There are a lot of them. What I looked for was.. best I could get for reasonable price , Support and Assurance I could keep using this system for years to come. The one I was using just stopped making filters with no warning..The Express is by far superior in many ways. Very easy to set up and change over from my other system.Read the manual as many times as it takes to become " Familiar" with all the working parts. I had many questions that were not answered in the reading material.*** Wow was their support team nice-friendly- knowledgeable- and forgiving with my constant questioning. I took my time and set it up.. now it works like a Million bucks !!!!!Note ** In all my research.. there was No guide to the order of the filters. I added(with a kit) the ION filter and the Alkaline filter. TO ME > these are must haves .... If you are wanting truly CLEAN-CLEANSED water.In reading you will discover the RO process takes many Valuable and Needed minerals and Nutrients from the water. Hense the Alkaline filter It adds many needed minerals and nutrients.I believed the water we were drinking was clean...?.. It was acidic and was affecting us adversely.What a noticeable difference... So, Let me say this.. I believe there is an order to follow. What I did was.. working backwards from the final filter.. AlkalineAt first I thought the Alkaline gave the water a funny taste. Only because I was use to acidic taste.. Now, I find the coffee , hot and cold tea has a much better flavor and taste. Actually Everything is tasting a whole lot better.The Express RO System is the way to go and well worth the time and $$ you put into it.Enjoying my water here in Western Illinois, Chris G.

Purchasing this Express Water reverse osmosis with alkaline filter has possibly been the worst purchase ever in the history of my Amazon Prime membership.Originally purchased and installed the unit in late February. Directly afterwards noticed a distinct metallic taste from the water and continued to flush the system for approximately two weeks and noticed little change. Purchased a water test kit from Home Depot which showed contaminants such as lead and copper, as well as no alkalinity in the water outputted from the unit. Thinking it was a faulty test I tested it three times over and got the same results. I contacted Express Waters customer service and described my experience and the lady over the phone stated that I might have faulty filters, and that it is common for filters to be faulty. She sent me an email requested proof of purchase and my test results with a brief description of what I was experiencing. I responded shortly after and got connected to Alana, Express Waters customer service agent and this is where the nightmare truly started. Alana has dragged on my claim for over a month now with a very long email repose thread, without providing a clear solution for the metallic tasting water and no alkalinity that I paid to have the extra filter for.Alana has requested proof of purchase on three different occasions, has had me perform multiple pointless and unnecessary open ended “test” to flush the systems, and has gone as far as calling the specialty drinking water test kit that was purchased from the Home Depot only good for “pool water”.Fed up with Alana and her pointless tactics in giving me the run around, I called Express Water again and connected with Ken, the water expert, who reviewed my case and stated I had been miss guided by Alana. And in order for him to help find me a solution he had more tests for me to run. And it is at this point, that I find myself convinced that Express Waters sole purpose is to give me the run around without providing a solution for the poorly designed and fault drinking water filters and system.It is now 3 months past my purchase and my return window for Amazon has long past. So now I am stuck with a faulty drinking water system that is of no use and will be going into the trash once the replacement from Costco arrives.My advise to the reader of this review is to STOP and to purchase the next of many brand name filters that are available on the market in the hopes of avoiding the nightmare I have experienced with Express Water.

Significantly cheaper than alternatives. READ THE DIRECTIONS! Most can install it if you’re the type that would have tools around the house. There is also a helpful video online. Don’t rush, check the connections, and enjoy the high quality water

We purchased the ALK 10 stage water system. I completed the install, but the step by step instruction are lacking for this system. But what was lacking in step by step install instructions, it did provide all the important points that is need to doing the install. I managed to figure it out by the diagrams and the key notes that was provided. Some mistakes I made was not putting enough puller's tape around the cold water threads on both end of the cold water pipes when connecting the Feed Water Adapter Value in place in the water line. I had to redo it when it had a slow leaks. But after making this change it stopped the leaks. I also had to tighten the Tank Value on the top of the water tank tell you could not turn it at all, to stop another slow leak from there as well. But after that everything works great. My wife is very picky of the water taste and she love the taste coming from this water system and I do too. We have only had it in place now for a couple of days. so I will do another review in 6 months. As for now we are loving the great taste from this water system. I hope this helps!
