Very easy for me to do but may not be so easy for a beginner. Took 15 minutes and the controller looks like it came this way. My controller is a 4th Gen BDM-040 model. Be careful and take your time or you may end up having to have your controller repaired and those places are not cheap at all. I have the soldering kit and know how to solder so I can do my repairs in house. Remember to take your time. The Yellow matches perfectly to my Steelers. Great product.

This product is advertised as having a glossy texture, and (at least for the white variant) I can say this is absolutely incorrect.Just for reference, first party PS3 controllers or the front part of a WiiU Pro controller is glossy. What you're getting here is not that.All that being said, the original back texture that comes with the DualSense controller feels like cheap garbage to me, so getting that replaced was absolutely essential, and this back shell makes the DualSense feel so much better to hold.This texture feels comparable to the front shell of PS4 controllers (or a slightly smoother version of the front shell on the DualSense).It makes me slightly annoyed that I have to pay extra on top of the already expensive price of the DualSense just to get it to feel comfortable in the hand, but this is a good product that I will be using on all future DualSense controllers.This is the material that should be used on all DualSense controllers by default. 😑

Great item that really is so simple to change.This item really does change the look of the padOnly thing to note is there is no texturing on this so not sure how slippery it would get if you had sweaty hands..Great product!

Weird having to buy the back shell and front shell separate. The black shell to match some dark plates for the PS5 overall looks and feel great great solution to getting a clean black and grey finish to console setup.
