I hesitate to describe how completely perfect this little notebook is because it may cause a run on them and I will need more. BUT. I needed a small notebook that would fit in my back pocket, that had decent paper with reasonable tooth to sketch film layouts and lighting schemes, and enough paper to be useful, and a simple spiral binding that will not snag and keeps the layouts from falling out. As far as I can tell this is the only notebook that meets those requirements. I will be buying this for the rest of my life. Thank you Fabriano 1264. Oh, and it’s acid-free, lignin-free, and uses 60% renewable power in manufacturing. The Fabriano company’s region has been making paper since 1264 A.D. so it appears they know what they’re doing.

This is a good quality sketchbook at a great price. It’s good for pencil and ink. That’s it. I recommend it.

Listen, I rarely leave reviews, but I had to post one for this sketchbook. It’s seriously amazing. I have dumped acrylic paint on pages, oil paint that I let dry, charcoal…all those mediums and it’s held up. Not to mention I’ve spilled coffee on it and it’s been in my bags. All that and it has STILL maintained it’s shape. I am about a quarter way through but I’ve had this for 5 months and I’d recommend it to anyone.

I can carry this anywhere. It has a good drawing texture you would expect ..
