Just had a new roof installed. It has a 30 degree pitch and this attached to the standing seam perfectly. Its not something I plan on testing more than to say it looks like it should do the job. Ultimately I hope to never have to test this but think it will do the job when called upon.

With fall pro gear I don't accept anything less than perfect gear since lives literally depend on it. This anchor more than meets that standard. It's very, very well made and every little detail shows how much care and thought went into it. The materials are top notch, the hardware is high quality, and there are no defects or flaws anywhere on the unit. It clamps down nice and tight and doesn't move around at all, even with very firm yanks on it to try to simulate a fall. It's just very obvious when examining it that it isn't a budget anchor, but is top quality and something you can bet your life on. I can highly recommend this anchor without any hesitation.

Good way of keeping one from falling off the roof. Attaches a harness to the person to keep from falling off. Recommended for safety.

FACT: 1 in 3 construction deaths is caused by a fall.Don't become a figure in that statistic. That's a real statistic. Don't let your workers become figures in that statistic, either. If you're in roofing, you know without any doubt that metal roofing is coming into its own in the residential sector. In the old shingled roof days, guys would nail down a 2x4 to stand on, or they'd nail a fall arrest to the other side of the peak. Those options for fall protection simply become too logistically difficult, if not impossible, with a metal roof. A new option is needed to keep your guys safe in the era of metal roofs. And this is it. Put this over the standing seam, tighten the set screws down, and you're good to go. Now, all your guys need are good harnesses and fall-arrestors, and the package is complete. This is crafted from a single piece of metal. So there's nothing to split or separate or come apart. And it literally comes with everything you need to clamp on. There are a few things to pay attention to when using this...1, don't use an impact to tighten this down to the seam. This should be obvious, but in case it isn't, lol...And 2, make sure you use the proper type of fall arrester / lanyard. You will want to use Class 2 fall arresters with this, as it's unlikely this will be mounted overhead, but rather at lower angles. Class 1 is designed for over-head use, and likely would be inappropriate for use with a standing seam clamp.I really can't recommend this more highly to guys working aloft on metal roofs. As someone who has spent a LOT of time working aloft wearing full harness fall protection gear, I know how important, even vital it is to have good equipment. Lives depend on it. If you're in the roofing business (or own a building with a metal roof and you want to service it), this is the cheapest insurance policy you're ever going to find. Less than $200 bucks to save a life? That cost sounds like nothing at all when you put it that way, doesn't it? Get equipped to work safely on the latest metal roofs. Keep your insurance company and customers happy by not dying on the job. 5 stars.
