The first one of the FR112 pumps I bought was sent back and replaced with a new one because it would get extremely hard to turn after sitting for a few days. The replacement worked well the first time I used it, but the second time using it was hard to turn the handle to get it to pump, the third time I used it, the handle was next to impossible to turn, like the pump insides were rusted up or something?? I finally got it to work somewhat by blasting WD40 down into the mechanism through the vent plug at the top of the pump body, still hard to turn, but I did get it to pump by using two hands and working hard. Something is not right with this pump. I have contacted the Manufacturer and will see what they say. I have used one of the Piston pumps for several years at my work and it was very dependable. I think I should have paid the extra $30 dollars or so and got the Piston version of this pump. Very disappointed to say the least.I will update this review: I have contacted the Manufacturer and they are very receptive and are working with me to get this taken care of, and their customer service seems to be very good. Update when it is resolved.I Emailed the Company, and I must say, while I was disappointed in the Rotary pump, this Company's Customer Service is GREAT! They sent me the piston pump version of this pump Model FR150 which was an upgrade, and it seems to work wonderfully. I would recommend buying from this Company anytime.

The pump itself is great, works very well. I also ordered the fill right filter kit which I highly suggest you do as well. Installation is straight forward. Just be sure and use Teflon tape on all fittings. The long section of pipe that is included with the filter kit was way too long for my application. I didn’t want my filter hanging 10” away from the pump. This creates a lot of leverage and I can see the cast pump being damaged accidentally with that much leverage so I used a short piece of pipe I had laying around to get it mounted closer. If I had to go to the store I would have bought one about twice as long but this was laying around in a bin at the shop so I used it.All in all I am very happy with the fill rite pump and filter set up. I got the pump on amazon warehouse for $125 so I’m at around $160 for pump and filter. Not bad for something that should easily last a lifetime. It’s light years ahead of my old cheap made in China pump that leaked everywhere.

First of all, the instructions are clear and easy to follow. It was very easy to assemble and the pump works really well. Also, the counter is a very useful addition to the pump, letting you know exactly how much fluid you’re pumping out.It is well made, of a very sturdy construction. So far it looks to be reliable and should give years of service. All in all a well made, nice bit of kit. Highly recommend.

Firstly, this is a robust product – expensive, but it will last a long time. It's infinitely better than similar products from China. It does the job well, pumping diesel into portable fuel canisters for our farm equipment.The pump is easy to set up, is easily primed, but being manual does require quite a lot of effort to crank – it’s quite a workout.Pumping provides a smooth, continuous stream of diesel, and the seal is effective at keeping water out. We have used the Teflon tape provided for the threads. 37 litres are pumped per 100 revolutions of the crank and there's a counter to measure the transfer of liquid. The pump can be reversed too – and we have used this on a number of occasions when my teenage sons got carried away with canister filling. The only negative I have is that the pickup pipe could do with being a couple of feet longer. Overall, we’re very satisfied with this.
