These are great and work well in my furnace. They filter well and are sturdy.

I know some are all about pressure changes, and a few of the upper ones have slightly better figures, but what is not talked about is the pressure changes over time.1000s don't tend to clog up as much, and you don't really have to worry about forgetting these to a certain point. I wouldn't run one over three months unless by accident, but you could probably get away with it. These are close to fiberglass designs but absolutely much better at filtering your home. Even when very dirty you can still see through a tiny bit, so you never get full blockage unless you are seriously forgetting to change them for months one end. But it's good to always keep your eye on furnace filters during dustier times. Keep your furnace healthy and change them out as needed.Pricing is not too bad and not too great here. Is what it is I guess. Filtrete still stands as one of the best out there, so you do get what you pay for on the market. Anything over MERV 11 and you probably need to change them out a decent amount more and keep watch often in my experience. These ones tend to last me a couple months with the fan on at all times. Upon taking out the filter it's usually not that bad and you can easily see through the fibers, despite some minor pressure changes. When trying higher MERV filters, I found that after a month they really tended to get blocked up quite badly the higher you go during dusty months of the season. While some old timers swear by using nothing but crappy fiberglass, that just lets in way too much dust in certain areas of the house and does almost no filtering at all. That's not gonna slide with all the expensive tech I have in my house. These are a compromise that has worked for a long time without issue.
