Its cold, dirty and heavy for its size. its does what good chain will do., It chains things. either to pull or tie down, its great. I recently purchased the Heavy Duty Grade 80 Transport Chain, and I am extremely impressed with its quality and performance. The heavy-duty grade 80 transport chain is made using high-strength, heat-treated alloy, providing a higher safe working load than lower grade chains, but weighing the same. The high quality, standard link 3/8" size chain is heat-treated and strength tested to ensure that the chain is not easy to break and operation more stable. The towing chain with clevis grab hooks fitted on each end creates a secure connection. I bought this in conjunction with a log grapple - have lifted 800lb logs with no problem, tons of safety margin over straps - it’s dirtyer and noisier than straps but that’s how you tell the difference from a Home Depot Dou..e

I liked buying a tow chain with right sized hooks already on both ends. Other purchasing options may or may not be cheaper, but getting it all delivered and ready to go, too simple not to buy this way. Only thing I might have done differently at a hardware store, is buy a shorter chain.

The chain seems to be lighter than my others. The coating on it seems to allow it to slide through areas much better. Been awsome so far.

Feels strong and durable but oil and/or coating definitely makes a mess of whatever it comes in contact with. May wear off after a while…
