The meter itself seems fine and despite a worried call to fluke when I received it, it appears to be genuine. It arrived with english documentation in water damaged and sun faded chinese packaging.The shipping process was sketchy, and it was handed off to a courier I have never heard of before on reaching canada, before being mailed to me in an unpadded plastic bag style envelope with no padding whatsoever.

I use this for a fast measurement of 4-20 mA circuits. It is easy to use and works well. I wish I had purchased the model that will also generate a 4-20 mA signal but I tried a less expensive alternative with poor results.

I was a controls engineer for 3 and a half years before my new job... a controls engineer. After a year, I finally bought what my last job provided for me. It's not that my new job wasn't willing to buy this item; I simply wanted to own it myself. $1300 (at the time of my purchase) wasn't chump change for me. The value of this item is simply far reaching and invaluable to have with me for years if the worst happens with my current employer. For loop powered devices and troubleshooting ANYTHING, this isn't A tool: it's the only tool. Having worked in pharmaceutical environments where disconnecting a device can literally cost millions of dollars: there aren't a lot of choices for checking signals in loop powered devices without disconnecting them. This is one of the most perfect tools for a specific application I've ever seen in my life.Downside to this purchase: the Chinese model showed up. The screen and even the manual are in English, but everything else is in Chinese. Is there any issues with China getting a second stream item? Have I gotten one of those items? The meter looks and acts like the normal one, but I'll stick it out. $1300... Yikes

Love this meter!! I have various meters for my line of work and this was the icing on the cake. Not having to unwire a system to check a 0-20 4-20 mA signal is Soooooooo Sweet! Oh, and it's a fluke so you know your getting the best.
