Seen reviews saying this wasn’t the correct replacement part, but it is the right one for my Fluval 306 external filter 👌 It’s making all the right noises again now and filtering as it should be.

This fit on the fluval filter perfectly. Our is a 407 model.

A 106 motor head is EXACTLY the same as a 206 motor head, Exact same amps and watts and impeller. So just change a 106 impeller cover with a 206 cover and it doubles the flow rate. I have both models to verify this! 106 only has 2 chambers so I replaced the bottom media basket with 105 media basket and added the 05 basket tray insert which all fits perfect with 06 top baskets and makes 3 chambers out of two. I cut the bio foam in half because with the inset tray you will have to. 206 was designed for bio foam so I still keep the fluval 206 design working in a shorter profile basically compromising nothing with the same overall performance.
