My Voitlander 35mm f1.7 has minimum distance of 0.9m, which should be around arm length. With this lens adapter, on my Lumix S, I could not focus anything closer than 15 feet. Infiniti focus works fine, but anything closer than 15fts are out of focus, esp. under f8.I thought my lens was damaged, but as I played with the mounting screw, for I remember one of cheapest way to do macro photo is to increase the flange distance. With coupe of out turn (unscrewing) I was able to focus object close as 1m away - which the lens was designed to. Then I added Amazon shipping paper as a gasket to test. Perfect every time.I don't feel safe with my Voitlander lens hanging on the camera by not having completed threading, so I'll look for other brand of the same lens adapter.Works well for long distance object, but cannot focus something close. You get what you pay for, I guess.

Update 11/9/23:I purchased another one of these shortly after my first purchase and it came with a small Allen wrench to adjust the screws. My first one must not have. Still, I'm happy enough to have purchased it twice!Original Review:I purchased this to use early (1930s-1950s) Leica screwmount lenses on my Leica SL2-S. I have both this and the Kipon L39-L adapter (https://www.amazon.com/Kipon-Adapter-Panasonic-Mirrorless-Camera/dp/B086PLTDKB/ref=sr_1_1?crid=OGWOOKHZ495N&keywords=kipon+L39-L&qid=1699041709&sprefix=kipon+l39-l%2Caps%2C55&sr=8-1) and the only difference is that the Kipon is one piece versus the Fotosay being two - the threads, secured by screws, surrounded by the adapter. It's adjustable in so far as to allow you to have your lens facing the right way. When I mounted my Elmar 3.5cm f/3.5 the lens was sideways. The three tiny screws that you just have to back out a tiny bit to allow the thread assembly to spin have a hex head. I used a 0.9mm hex bit spun with my finger tips to rotate the lens to where it needed to be.

Must be a bit out of spec because 1 lens does not focus to infinity. The majority work likeHelios and Jupiter with good focus confirm below 5.6. Recommend although not for thoselenses requiring exact spec. This adapter needs to be .096 mm, Its' more like 1 mm.
