As a pale cave-dweller, I collect UV shirts like they're Pokemon cards. I'm a fan of the Gerry brand since I've bought a few of their products from Costco, so when I saw they released a UV shirt I grabbed one.First impressions are great - it's stretchy, ultra-light, comfortable, and the neck isn't too loose.The only thing it's "missing" are some vents on the back and/or armpit area. I've seen some newer UV shirts come out with tiny vent holes in these areas, and it really does make a difference when you're wearing long-sleeves on a hot day.But even without them, this is a solid 4.5/5 UV shirt from a trusted brand.

My husband is 54, 5’8.5” and weighs approx 160 lbs. His chest is 41/42” and he’s consistently a Medium in almost everything he wears. I didn’t see a size chart. If one was available I missed it, so I just ordered a Medium and it fits him well. It’s slightly loose, definitely not a snug or body con fit. However he prefers a lightly loose fit.He owns many “quick dry” shirts like this with similar fiber content. Personally I only like all natural fibers but he loves this type of material. Says this is very comfortable and the quality is excellent. He doesn’t like when logos are overly apparent, but the Gerry logo on this top is pretty subdued. Enough to where he doesn’t mind it.I absolutely love this shade of blue on him (or any blue). This one is especially vibrant and exact to image description.We received this through Amazon Vine at a discounted price in exchange for this review, but feel the full price is fair. However at the time of this review it’s on sale - an additional 43% off. I immediately went ahead and purchased one in white for him ($16.99). Definitely recommend this top. The brand, Gerry, has a store here on Amazon with items for not only men, but women and children as well.

The Gerry long sleeve rash guard is a versatile all-around outdoor shirt. The UPF 50+ designation provides us with assurance of sun protection while participating in a variety of outdoor activities. As noted, this shirt can be worn as a rash guard during water sports. But this is also a nice choice to wear while you are outside in the sun fishing, hiking, running, walking, etc...The shirt is 92% polyester and 8% spandex. I am wearing it as a workout shirt for my daily workout routine. This is a lightweight, stretchy, comfortable and quick drying workout shirt.The fit is true to size. I typically wear a medium shirt. I did order a large with the thought that a rash guard might mean it is a tighter fitting garment. However, the large sized Gerry shirt fits me like a typical large sized shirt (it is slightly too big). It's just fine as a workout shirt, but I believe if you typically wear a medium - order a medium.

This sun protection sports shirt from Gerry is good quality and is a basic style similar to other shirts out there. It does have a little weight to it and no perforated pin holes along the sides but it is also only $17 which is a great price for a similar shirt. I wear a size Large and the overall fit is perfect except for the sleeves which are a tad bit long for me but still looks fine. I have several winter fleece tops I purchased from Gerry back around 2000 so this company has been in business for quite some time now and those fleece tops are great quality and still in great shape. Since this shirt is a bit denser than some other ones I have I will wear this one on cooler days versus outside on scortching hot days which is fine since we have sunshine many days here in beautiful Colorado even when it's cold! Based upon the quality and overall fit of this sports shirt as well as the insane low price I recommend this product to others.

I've previously bought shorts from Gerry's and think they'll be the last shorts I ever buy, they are that good. So, when I had to opportunity to order this shirt, I did not hesitate. Your correct size will and should fit a bit loosely. I ordered a large and fits as expected. It does stretch, too, in case you have you some areas which need that extra accommodation. My first use was for a strenuous work-out on an elliptical machine, and it wicked away sweat as advertised. Looking forward to using it out in the summer sun to take advantage of that UPF 50 rating.
