Ok, so I bought these connectors because they are one of the few connectors that support 10AWG wire. I really wanted to like these and if I am honest I could have made these work in my situation. However, at the end of the day I just wasn't comfortable with moving forward with these.THE PROJECT (for transparency):I am installing wire outdoors in my backyard via a subpanel on the outside of the house with four 15amp fuses (via a 60amp fuse at the junction box inside the house) inside the subpanel. I am using 10AWG wire (a bit overkill BUT I anticipate I MAY need to upgrade my outlets and I wanted the option just in case.) and I need connectors. My line from one of the 15amp fuses has 6 outlets and a junction boxes to continue the run under two of the outlets. So, I need connectors. I AM NOT an electrician, however, I've been doing A LOT of electrical work for the past 6 years with most of my work being approved by city inspectors. My work that wasn't approved was work around my own home that I didn't ask for an inspector. I had an electrician install the subpanel (I am not comfortable with my skill level to do this) and I am comfortable finishing the project.PRODUCT ISSUES:The problem I had with these connectors was the fact that if I pulled hard enough the 10AWG wire comes right out. Now, my father, who's been doing electrical work for 30+ years, told me to put the wire between two of my fingers, hold the connector with my other hand and pull. If the wire does not come out then you're good to go. The current will not yield that much force so I would not have to worry about the wire coming out due to electrical vibrations. However, I've been using the IDEAL Electrical 30-1031 in-Sure 2-Port x25, 3-Port x25, 4-Port x25, Push-in Wire Connector for about 5 years and you literally have to twist and pull and twist and pull for the wires to come out. Once they are in, you've got your work cut out for you to get them out. I was expecting this same kind of resistance and while I recognize my expectations may be unwarranted, I'm used to what I'm used to. The fact these wires came out with out the same type of resistance as the IDEAL connectors had me hesitant. Yes, they problem would have worked but I couldn't move forward.I do love the face that I can unlock and lock these wire connectors. I was really hoping they would be the answer, ESPECIALLY because they are fairly cheap.THE SOLUTION:I returned these and opted for the WAY MORE EXPENSIVE option and bought the King Innovation 95110 3-Port Aluminum Copper Wire Connector (10-Pack). I have used these before and they are the gold standard. The screw down is amazing and every time I've used these outdoors and an inspector sees them they always tell me I've made a good choice with them.

There's not much to really say about these, except they are awesome! I love easy wiring! This makes it so much easier to tie wires together. I hate those twisty caps. This gives a more clean look without twisting a bunch of stiff wires together. They are secure too! Once you clip them in they are IN!

These connectors are so much easier to use than traditional wire nuts. And if you ever need to undo the connection, just flip the lever up, and the wires pull right out. Great product!
