1/25/2024: I recently purchased Godox XProC II transmitter for my Sony and it works seamlessly with this strobe. In fact, the XPorC II transmitter works better with the strobes as it doesn't jibe with their V860II hotshoe flash (hit or a miss).I'm a full-time professional corporate photographer and videographer. I've had everything from Speedlite's to inexpensive versions of non-branded hotshoe flash, which I still use. Still, after not having a dedicated studio flash for some time, I needed one to not worry about batteries and be able to take photos quickly.I already have the Godox XPro-C wireless transmitter with Godox V860II, which also worked simultaneously with this SK400II. But after having it for less than a month, I decided that for this price, it was a no-brainer to have another and not bother with the battery.I mainly use this for product photography, which I often do for my job. I rarely go above 1/8 of power, and with the second one I just got, I'll have the fill light to be less than that. The light is more spread, unlike the speedlights mounted on an adapter. It fires consistently, and there are no issues with overheating.Combined with a 36~48" softbox, I can easily make either a dark or white background with my thunder grey paper background. It is more pronounced when using a honeycomb grid to control the light spill.Unless I'm trying to overpower the sun during the day or daytime portrait shoot, this has more than enough light with plenty of overhead.Keep in mind, the minimum output power for this strobe is 1/16, which may be too bright for certain applications. Godox has the 400W, but that can go as low as 1/64, which may be better for fit for certain applications.

This is an economical 400ws flash. The build quality is good. The light is consistent. I wish it came with an umbrella reflector. It’d be one thing if it was a simple matter to find an appropriate one for a nominal additional fee. But no… I bought three different Bowen’s mount reflectors and not one had a ln umbrella hole that lined up with the bottom center. I purchased an adorama flashpoint equivalent and for some reason it came with a reflector. Hmm.

Great Studio flash with seamless wireless conectivity using their transimitter. I paired this up with a godox TTL on camera flash and i didnt have to do a single thing to get it to work as soon as i plugged it in. Both flashes worked in their respective channels and adjustments were instant. Flash seems to be of very high quality with an almost all metal construction. Display is bright and the mounting point of the flash is very sturdy and stable. Ill be ordering another one.
