Looks amazing in the matte black, but the fan is too loud for use in the bedroom.

So, I may have bought this fan for its color, but it works like a champ and its not loud or clunky. Now my daughter has stolen it, so I may have to buy another one! It is a dainty work horse and I love it. It fits on my dresser aimed at my bed and helps me sleep. Definitely going to have to get another one in a different color. 5 stars

So I have only had this product for about 10 days, and so far I am quite pleased. Like the description states the fan is composed mostly of metal, save the controls, which are plastic. However the nostalgic look and hopeful durability make it worth the cost. I saw a similar fan going for twice the price, glad I purchased this one. So far I think this is a quality made product, assembly and disassembly look relatively easy to clean the fan when needed.

Now that I've got it assembled correctly, I love it! I had a really hard time fitting the fan blade onto the shaft facing the correct way. It was so difficult to put it on correctly, and so easy to put on backwards, that I thought the instructions might be wrong, but I was wrong! The fan blew in the wrong direction.So I took it apart and tried to assemble it correctly. It really was fiddly to seat the fan blade on the shaft, pointing in the right direction. However, once I finally got it seated, and the fan reassembled, it works great! It gives a nice breeze, isn't wobbly when fixed in place or allowed to rotate, and is quiet.The paint finish is nice. The chrome parts are good quality with no chipped edges. I'm very pleased!

The fan I replaced was purchased at a big box store a few years ago during a heat wave. It was a plastic piece of %$#@ and gave out after a few seasons.. This beauty is metal, feels sturdy, works very well, and I don’t mind looking at it all the time. I expect this one will last longer. And it is relatively quiet but moves air well. I have a very old fan that still works, when that one finally gives up, I will look for another one of these.
