We love music and listening to the news. So we put these in all our bathrooms and the kitchen. Great to have music playing while in the shower. You can ask it to turn on and adjust the volume just by asking. It will also answer tons of questions about lots of stuff.

Needed to be able to hear nest door bell at other side of house. Works great.Appreciate people that answered my question about item before I purchased. They were spot on with their responses.

So the device itself is a regular Google Nest Mini speaker. Pretty standard stuff and this review really doesn’t focus on that.The thing to be aware of is that this seller will ship whatever random device (in your chosen color) they happen to have. Basically, you don’t know which international version you may get. My particular device arrived in a box with Japanese writing on it. I could get by with French, German, or Spanish, but Japanese is a bit of a stretch for my limited language skills. Fortunately, unlike some other reviewers, my instruction manual was printed in English.Once I got the speaker out of the box and plugged it in I was greeted with some words in…you guessed it…Japanese. Maybe it was greeting me. Maybe it was cursing my ancestors. Not really sure since I DON’T SPEAK JAPANESE!The good news is that the Google Home app on my iPhone readily recognized that I had a new Google Nest Mini speaker plugged in and began the setup process, walking me through the steps and updating the device’s firmware. Once this was done my device began to speak English in my chosen Google Assistant voice (British Racing Green). From that point on there were no issues and it was just like any other Google Nest Mini speaker purchased from a reputable supplier such as Best Buy or Target.In all it wasn’t that big of a deal and if you just ignore everything and dive straight into the setup process with the Google Home app it won’t take any longer to get your device ready than had it actually arrived set to English in the first place. However, for lack of transparency on this issue I’ve deducted two stars from the overall rating. Just keep in mind that the diminished rating in no way is a reflection of the device itself, which thankfully did a great job reconfiguring itself to my locality despite the fact that it was originally intended for another market.Domo arigato, Mr. Roboto!

The 2nd Gen Google Nest is fantastic! I love it so much that I have one in the office, one in the bedroom, and another in the kitchen. It’s incredibly easy to set up and use, and the sound quality is impressive for its size. Whether I’m listening to music, asking for weather updates, or setting reminders, it’s always reliable and quick. The sleek design blends perfectly into any room. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to make their home (or office) smarter and more convenient!

Bought 2 of these on prime day for my kids' byrooms. Works very well if you're also subscribed to YouTube Music. I only wish I could cast music from my Sonos system through the GoggleHome connections. Easy installation and sleek design with wall mounts
