Easy to cut to size and perfect padding for comfort and keeps my bedside rugs in place. No chemical odor!2 similar pads from different manufacturers had chemical odors that were impossible to remove despite much effort to do so.

We've had this pad for a couple of carpet runners for a few years now. They add excellent cushioning against the plank flooring. However, the carpet runners along with the pad move with normal use. Though the carpet grips the pad very well they both move in unison over the plank flooring. We have to readjust the positioning of the runners at least once a day..

I had read different reviews from other brands that were not great when it came to issues regarding the rug moving around. The gorilla brand got great reviews stating that this underlay was great and prevented the rug from moving. I have to say I’m truly disappointed that my runner rug is constantly moving and not at all what I hoped for as far as staying in place. I gave it an extra star as the thickness of the padding is nice but to me the more important part is not having my runner move around.

Had a 10 foot runner rug that wouldn't stay put on top of my wall to wall carpet...I tried this because there was a comment that it works on carpeted floors as well. FIrst, it came folded, not rolled as some reviewers said it came. It took a while for it to get the creases out. Second, when I put it down with the rubberish mat side down (as if I were putting it on a hard wood/vinyl floor), the carpet runner still seemed to bunch up and slide...BUT, when I turned it upside down with the rubberized part on top, it holds the carpet runner in place nicely, no bunching up.

This rug pad is incredible. I've been kicking/rolling/sliding/bunching rugs around in my house for as long as I can remember. I also have dogs so this was even more of a challenge. I finally just got fed up with it. I ordered this because it had good reviews and seemed like it would be easy to cut to fit (it was) and oh wow. It's been a life changer in the general comfort and functionality of my home my general ability to move around my house without having to constantly straighten a rug. I have a couple small oriental-style rugs and a woven/knot-style rug, neither have any sort of backing. After adding this, they don't slide on the floor or on top of the pad. I can even vacuum over them. This works beautifully with both styles and adds some padding without being overly-thick. It's great. 5/5 recommend.
