Product audio quality is not good, difficult to get audio files saved properly and when they do they're patchy and spotty for no reason. When I disconnect the USB, the device starts recording a new file without even pushing the button. Don't waste your money.

Fácil de utilizar, y con gran volumen

Bought these to record the last voice mail my mother left to me. I installed one each in two different pillows, now I can hear her voice before I go to sleep at night. They work for me and I will buy again as needed.

It was easy to use - but the directions that came with it were not for this. It sites a rechargeable battery - but mine required two AAs. The switch on one broke immediately and was unusable. There is a Christmas jingle that was preset, and it was unable to be removed. Overall, did the trick and came quick - but most likely will not order again.

This product is great and allowed me to create rich Halloween props. It's unclear how to adjust the config file, play back files at random, and manually record on this unit so here are the instructions.You'll need to connect the recorder via USB to your computer. Windows will give you a message that the drive is corrupted but don't try to run the repair utility; it will break the recorder.Once connected, place your files in the root of the drive. The rec directory is meant for recordings that you've made on the recorder itself. It seems to only support mp3 files. I suggest compressing your mp3 files to 44100 HZ, 64 KBPS mono. This way you can fit more files. You'll likely be able to fit over 300 short mp3 files this way, great for a fortune telling haunted Spider don't you think?To change settings, you'll need to then open up the config.txt file.In the config file, you can adjust the volume. E.G. VOL=01-30. VOL=30 is loudest and VOL=01 is quietest. I think it works best at VOL=30.In the config file, you can adjust the playback style as sequential or random. PLAY=01 is sequential playback. PLAYBACK=02 is random playback. Note that this line is not initially included in the config file. You will need to add it at the bottom.In my experience, the random style of playback works best with playback mode 01. Read on for more info on the six playback modes.In the config file, there are six playback modes when the button is pressed. E.G. IO=01Here's what they mean:IO=01 The Key press is interruptible. Press the button to start playing, and during playback, press the button again again to play the next track.）IO=02 Key presses are not interruptible. Press the button once to start playback. During playback, pressing the button again will perform no function. The current song will end on its own and automatically transition to the next song.IO=03 Push button hold cycle. Press the button to loop the song; release the button to stop playing immediately.IO=04 Loop cannot be interrupted. Hold the button down to play the file in a loop. After you release the button, the recorder will finish playing the current music and stop.IO=05 Play/pause. Press the button once to play a file. Press the button again to pause the file. Press the button again to resume from the paused point.IO=06 Play/stop. Press the button once to play the file; during playback, press it again to stop playback.Remember to adjust your config.txt file first before loading your files.This recorder allows you to record directly with the built-in microphone. Here are those instructions.The recorder features a user-friendly button recording mode where you simply press and hold the button for 3 seconds to start recording, and release the button to stop.
