This ash tray adds a touch of elegance and sophistication to those of us, like me,who are a bit rough around the edges. I have learned that the weight of it can hold down acardboard box with a cat underneath it. (just kidding animal lovers) or you could anchordown a small boat on a calm day with it.(I really don't know) What I trying to say is thatit nearly snapped my wrist when I tried to lift it from a prone position. Also, there is not a blemishon a single one of the 127 (?) beveled cuts that ring this crystal ashtray but could be somewhat dangerous if a high power laser pointer is aimed through it. (Doc said Bill's blindness is temporary)On the more serious side, I was in need of a new (glass) ashtray because my old one exploded. (fact)I was burning a small piece of charcoal in it for incents (frankincense) and then a impressive pop, withmy tray exploding into 6 large pieces and slivers of surgical sharp, almost invisible glass on my table and rug, which caused a full blown cat. 5 HAZMAT clean-up, but then a moment later I realized that my 9" antique green glass ashtray was history.(i might never get over it) so I went on the hunt, in the Amazon jungle for a replacement. I thought it would be easy (wrong again numb-nuts) finding a 9 inch glass ashtray has went the way of smoking at work, or on airplanes, in hospitals, or church, it just doesn't exist no mo. It has to be made know that I am a professional smoker and I have certain dimensions, materials, and qualifications that must be met for me to successfully accomplish an enjoyable nicotine inhalation experience, and one of those tools is a large glass ashtray. This ashtray, a fine product to be sure, and a sure 5 stars but falls somewhat short of my needs. First of all the stated diameter of 5.9 inches is for the outer dia. and not the inner which is 4 inches which probably works out fine for Mao and a lot of women, but don't work for, that's right, this guy. So stopping short of calling this deceptive advertising (because the picture makes it look big, don't it) I went back on the hunt in the darkest depths of Amazon again and miraculously found a Sizikato Amber Glass Ashtray. Round - 7 Inches, AND WILL HOLD THE asdf jkl; ASHTRAY INSIDE IT and after some tweaking will suffice until my holy grail can be found in some yard sale or auction. What I'm trying to say is if your on the hunt for that smokers ashtray get the Sizikato Amber Glass Ashtray. Round - 7 Inches. (insert non-paid endorsement here) I guarantee it's a smokers practicality. (I just made that up, not bad huh?)
