These heat resistant gloves are thick, padded, comfortable, and aluminized. They can be used in welding or anywhere heat resistant gloves are needed. They will fit large hands, and they go up to the elbow. The palms are made of leather and the inside is a soft, comfortable fabric. My son welds occasionally at home and needed a pair of these. They are well-made and durable. I recommend these.

My initial interest in the egowz High Temperature Aluminized Gloves was primarily driven by the prospect of handling hot fireplace ash and BBQ coals during the winter months. However, a recent, unexpected challenge highlighted the true versatility of these gloves.Confronted with the task of moving a metal fire pit, scorching hot in the midst of a Southern California heatwave and punishing sun, I realized the full potential of these gloves. The intense sunlight had transformed the fire pit into a virtual heat sink, making it virtually impossible to handle with standard gloves. The egowz gloves, with their extended length and heat-resistant properties, proved to be an indispensable tool. The gloves' ability to protect my forearms from the intense heat was nothing short of phenomenal. I was able to safely and efficiently move the fire pit without discomfort or risk of injury. This unexpected use case underscored the gloves' versatility and durability. While I haven't yet tested these gloves in their intended applications of welding or sweating copper pipes, their performance in this extreme heat scenario is promising. The gloves are well-constructed, with a comfortable fit that allows for a good range of motion. The materials appear to be of high quality, and the gloves show no signs of wear or damage after this initial rigorous test. It's important to note that while these gloves offer excellent heat protection, they are not impervious to extreme temperatures. Direct contact with open flames should be avoided. However, for handling hot objects and surfaces, these gloves provide a reliable and effective barrier. In conclusion, the egowz High Temperature Aluminized Gloves have exceeded my expectations. Their unexpected utility in a high-heat situation has solidified their place as a valuable tool in my arsenal. While I anticipate using them for their intended purpose in the future, I'm confident in their ability to handle a variety of high-temperature tasks. If you're looking for a pair of gloves that can withstand extreme heat, the egowz gloves are a solid choice.

These gloves work great as long as you don't touch anything really hot or on fire - which defeats the purpose of them. Unless I'm missing something, they are supposed to be fireproof but in reality, if a flame gets too close, the silver coating burns off really fast (in way less than 1 minute). The palm is good quality with real leather, but even that discolors really fast. Once the coating is penetrated, I can't believe how fast the gloves get way too hot for comfort. I guess the coating does a great job at reflecting the heat but once that protection is decreased, you can absolutely feel the difference. I just wish that the coating was way thicker & more durable, and these gloves were a lot higher quality - these remind me a cheap knock off, which is very disappointing. They fit well and are pretty comfortable with fairly good dexterity. Because of my safety concerns with durability - I do not recommend these gloves per they are practically disposable and will quickly fail when put to the test.

Not mentioned in the description but these gloves fit well on XXL hands - perhaps a little to short on the fingers but not by much. The gloves are cloth with a leather palm and aluminum type outer covering. The exterior did a good job shedding splatter when pouring molten silver into a mold - better than simple leather that tends to have the metal stick.Insulation from heat is good with the longer (17") style gauntlet it was easy to work close to the furnace without singeing the forearms.Good gloves for metal casting and surprisingly large sized.

These gloves offer absolutely NO dexterity at all. They are stiff, overly-padded and reduce your capacity grip something to ZERO.I would not try to pick-up a brick while wearing these--and a brick I could drop and not care about!Attempting to pick-up anything around a grill would be inviting whatever to fall to the ground.I wish that I could go on to say some good things--like how protective these are--but I do not even want to test that out, as the gloves are so useless as far as actually gripping anything...why bother? It is --barely--possible that these might be useful when Winter comes on, to keep near the fireplace in case a burning log tumbled out....But they say you should not expose these to direct flame.... !So....Poor-to-no dexterity...... and you cannot even use them for a burning large object....?Not what I was hoping for.
