I got the HiDock H1 because I sit at so many meetings and to be able to try and take notes somehow and still be somewhat attentive is just not possible sometimes. I've now had it for a few weeks and honestly, it has made my life so much easier. You just turn it on, let it work its magic, and then you have a full transcription and even an outline without needing to write down every little thing yourself.Setup was relatively easy, but it took me a while to become familiar with all the features. Once you have got the app set up and everything synced, it works really nicely. I enjoy how it identifies an absolutely absurd number of languages and can hear voices really clearly even in fairly noisy rooms. The VoiceMark gadget is also really helpful. You can tap during recording and it is very easy to identify key bits when you are listening back over your notes afterwards. The AI transcription is fine. It is not always flawless if someone is muddling their words or if there is a great deal of ambient noise, but it gets it right most of the time. A lot, much better than anything I have ever tried before. And the smart summaries it gives you are literally life savers when you've got back-to-back meetings and can't take the time to read through an entire transcript. The dock itself is an amazing bonus too. It is not just a recorder, it's basically an entire docking station with 2 x HDMI 4K@60Hz ports, 1 DC-In port (20V/7.5A) , a 2.5Gbps Ethernet port, 3 USB-C 3.2 ports and 2 USB-A ports. Supporting Max 100W PD Charging and Max 10Gbps data transfer. 2 SD/ MicroSD 4.0 card slots. Support dual 4K@60Hz HDMI display. , the whole deal is amazing. So it effectively tidied up a lot of space on my desk that was a lovely surprise. If you are someone who has a lot of calls, lectures, meetings, or simply need to have an easy way of taking and organizing information, this is definitely worth looking into. It is not very inexpensive but honestly when you factor in the life time transcription and no extra fees, it seems like a bargain.I would have to say that just be prepared to take some time to learn how to do everything at first. Once you get used to it, however, it is pretty much plug and play. Highly Recommended!

I like the sensitivity of the mic. It picks up background noises that will eventually be tuned out by the noise cancellation. I also like the ear piece. Im able to get on a phone call and with the ear piece it starts recording the call. My one concern is that the device must be connected to the internet. Specifically the companies website in order to retrieve the recordings. There is also an up-charge for using the services that include AI or converting the recording into a written script. This up-charge is free when you purchase the device and connect it to your account. After about 45 minutes of trial and error: creating memos, receiving calls to test the transcribing, and updating the speakers software, I was finally able to relax that I understood how to use it. It took some time to learn, so its learning curve is a bit challenging, but its ease of use becomes simple. I would've liked it if I didn't need to be connected to the internet in order for it to transcribe my messages. To have the device record and transcribe it without an account and be connected to the internet would be AMAZING! Otherwise, the setup is simple, the design is bulky. There's also a learning curve for navigating around the website. It also took a bit of time to do, but eventually I was able to find where my recordings were and to learn how to transcribe them. I wouldn't want to travel around with this. I would rather just use the earpiece and have it transcribe my messages without the trouble of carrying around the base.

This is a ridiculously cool device that adds way more than I expected to my daily work life. I've been able to make sure to keep up with meeting notes, summarize them, and while it can mishear things once in a while, it's been amazing to be able to have notes that I can read. Generally I have to talk, listen, and type at the same time during meetings and that unfortunately keeps my focus off of the actual meeting. This dock prevents that and it frees me up to engage more in the conversation and helps me get a better understanding. I'm waiting for a coworker to think I have a ridiculously good memory but it's this haha. This is pretty easy to use and has a variety of uses. I think it's a pretty good value considering what it does for me and how much it adds to my daily life.Overall, I would highly recommend this if you're in the market for a gamechanger regarding meetings and note taking

This is a great item, and it essentially does all that it claims to do. It is substantial, which I guess is a good and bad. Obviously it takes up a bit of real estate on your desk, but it packs a speaker with decent sound. It won't necessarily keep the audiophiles happy, but for general use, it is world's better than integrated laptop speakers. So although it is a little big, it eliminates the need for most people to have any other sort of external speaker. The controls are all straight forward and easy to used. I like that the volume knob has détentes. It can be connected via USB cable (A or C) and also via Bluetooth. Bluetooth is nice as it helps keep cables a little cleaner.Transcription through the app is surprisingly good. It is not 100% perfect, but still very, very good. The two small issues that I have are:Power requirement: I was hoping it would be USB powered, but it needs to be plugged in. Not only that, but it has a pretty large transformer block. I like to keep a nice, streamlined desktop (actual, not virtual) and this is one more cable hiding challenge.Earpiece: The earpiece is designed to fit the left or right ear, and that design probably is why is does not fit well on either ear. I have pretty unremarkable ears - not overly large or small - and I have trouble getting it to stay in place.
