I took a chance and bought this ‘compatible’ HEPA filter plus the pre-filter in one box. The HEPA filter is the normal white on one side, but there’s a blue sheet on the other side that can’t be opened. There was nothing on the top of the box that said outside or inside which the normal HEPA has for this machine, but there was a little tag on both filters and I kind of assumed the tag was so you could pull the filters out easily, which has not been on the filters that I have bought for many years. The outer filter, which is the one that collects the dust first got very very dusty and I haven’t seen that before with filters when I’ve washed them. I think the outer filter from the past were not quite as thickly plastic as this one which and it has a different design configuration also. There was nothing in the box that told me anything about either filter so I was on my own with this. I doubt that I’ll want to buy this again even though it was less expensive than going to Sharp and buying filters from their sources. I’ve had the air purifier for so many years and they seem to have discontinued selling the filters for this model, but others do sell them at a much higher price almost twice as much as the Amazon price on this particular set that I bought. I found that the outer filter with the sturdier plastic got very dusty very quickly. The inner filter didn’t look so bad but again I’m very confused about why there is a blue covering over it that can’t be removed. Anyway, I couldn’t contact the company through so there was no way to find out.

Much less costly than the original Sharp filters, perfect fit.
