When I first looked at the Amazon description for this tray, I thought it somehow acted independently as two separate trays. But, when I installed them I realized that one tray fits INTO the other tray. The top tray is silicone and it fits like a glove into the bottom tray, that is made of a stronger plastic-like material. So, I guess the concept is that you can remove the silicone top tray for occasional cleaning. I would add that the silicone composition allows flexibility (creating the eye glass clip) and is quieter with coins and other small items banging around in the tray. Otherwise, I don't see the need to have the two trays fit into each other.Note: the silicone tray will NOT fit in the console by itself - it's not wide enough to set properly on the console track and the silicone bends easily, which would cause the tray to drop down into the larger console opening. Hence the need for the bottom tray to secure it all into position. I like that the rail for the bottom tray has a jagged antiskid edge to help prevent it from sliding around on its own. Also, the silicone clip in the upper tray is nice for holding eye glasses in place for easy access and to prevent them from moving around and getting scratched. The small compartment next to the coin box fits an older sized garage door opener perfectly. Overall, this tray is a quality product.

These are sturdy, versatile, and packaged beautifully. There are two parts - the one with compartments shown in my pictures and a second one of the same size that is one big space. These worked well for me!

This fits perfectly and is simply drops in to place. Now I have a convenient easy place to drop my sunglasses, keep my garage door opener, and toss a microfiber cloth to clean my screen when needed. I like the two piece construction that provides a softer inner surface so that items don’t rattle around. This line of products fit right and a good value.
