This dance costume is overly risqué for the age group. I'd expect this outfit on a grown woman performing on stage, not on a small child in dance class. The sheer panels and the open back with the criss-crossing ties across the back was extremely off-putting as soon as my daughter put it on. It was also cheaply made, with a weird extra panel sewed onto the back of the dress, and the tassels pull off easily. I'd skip this costume if you or your little dancer have any desire to maintain modesty.

My daughter wore this outfit for Halloween and it is so beautiful! The accessories were great too!
