The chain for this Helm of Awe necklace is sturdy and not cheaply made so that is definitely a plus. There are symbols on both sides of the chain, so this allows versatility as one is the Helm of Awe and the other side is the Valknut Knot which is the 3 interlocked triangles symbolizes courage, reincarnation, and the Norse God Odin. Odin was known as a powerful magician in the Nordic pantheon. I would say this necklace is fully loaded with symbolism and upon unboxing the item, I noticed how heavy the necklace and pendant is by hand. This is a lovely necklace, both the two-sided pendant and the chain that comes with it also.

I already have two Aegishjalmur necklaces. One fancy one from a Sweden and another from an Amazon store. I happened to stumble on this one and liked the “rock like” look.It’s a nice metal and comes with a tie string. The string is a higher grade than others and yet; I will probably replace it with a chain.One slightly annoying aspect is if you don’t pick the right side, the necklace will rotate to its back side forward due to the way it’s tied.There is also the chance of the knots wearing out in time and unless you know how to tie the slip knot used…Still I like it and wear it frequently.
