It's about time. I got mine and as anything glass that is being shipped... I was worried it would break during shipping. You know why, because it's glass! Well, it made it and I was very pleased that it was all glass and Stainless Steel. Even the inside of the lid that connects to the plunger was all stainless steel. Also, the plunger gasket was made of stainless steel, not plastic or painted chrome over plastic. The glass was also thicker then most French Presses I've owned. I've owned more then a few.I bought the 600 ml or 4 cup French Press, btw.The jar, with mine is held in place securely and didn't move easily when pouring. I could turn the French Press into full pour and not worry of the glass slipping. Maybe someday it might lossen but for now it's secure. Also, the size is perfect for my 12 oz cup of coffee with plenty of room to spare. I have made up to a 20 oz cup coffee with no problem. I don't like narrow French Presses unless I'm making a single scoop of coffee for one person. I feel that wider presses allow the coffee to breath and often times make a less bitter cup of coffee if you are doing multiple Table Spoons of Coffee.Just my opinion of course, enjoy!

I was looking for a french press style coffee maker for my husband to use at work. I had a prerequisite before purchasing a coffee press: No plastic parts touching or near hot steamy liquid. First I bought a Bodum Chambord Coffee Maker, french press because it's a classic but I discovered plastic on the lid which fits inside the glass and serves as slotted pour assistant. I sent it back because I did not want hot coffee or tea to run through plastic. My next option was a Chemex pour-over, but my husband preferred a press with a top as to avoid complete spills and have hotter coffee/brewed tea for longer (having a top helps that and helps brew tea leaves). This Hario was my next choice and the one that fit the bill. I would have preferred a Japanese made Hario product, but that was lower priority that the plastic-free prerequisite. This is also a decent size as it provides adequate amounts of coffee or tea, and does not take up too much height or space on my husband's desk. Would recommend!

Great French Press with all parts made of metal. It is easy to clean, but remember to hold it by it's handle as over time the glass is not as snug in the base.
