This is not what is described, this fitting does not fin snug insdie an 11/2" pipe its closer to 11/4" total waste of moeny DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY they do not know how to measure.

I was able to swap these for my existing slip fittings, which didn't accommodate the Kreepy Krauly diverter eyeball fitting. This one did, and works well.

The male end was a little longer than the fittings I replaced so it was difficult (impossible) to seat the fitting flush against the pool wall. There is about 1/4 inch of a gap. You can't trim the fitting because the end has a very minor taper to it which is needed to fit it inside the female fitting. Otherwise, they do the job.
