Specially designed for long haired breeds that tend to get cat litter stuck in their fur. These dense, whole clumping pellets of our natural wood clumping cat litter won’t be carried through the house and make a mess. Finicky, long haired cats prefer the soft feel of the mini-pellets on their paws, while their natural effectiveness respects their delicate systems.

I love love LOVE this litter. i have my cat's litter box in my bathroom so its important to me that it doesn't stink, and this litter delivered! it clumps nicely around liquid and sometimes the solid waste stays on top of the pellets if my cat decides he doesn't want to bury it XD which i still find great for keeping an eye on my baby's health. even then its still scentless. for tracking i use a litter mat and its amazing how i rarely ever find a stray pellet outside the mat. i also used it with a bit of litter deodorizer for good measure, and cleaning the box has never been easier

I plan on being a LONGGG time buyer of this litter!! It's absolutely amazing. There are some minor cons, but for the pros (and compared to many other litters) it's more than worth it!!For the record: I've tried many different brands of many different litters, trying to find the right 'fit' for me and my cat. I've tried : Other wood pellet litters (both clumping and nonclumping), silica gel (both clumping and nonclumping), clay, and paper litter. This is by far the best I've tried.Pros:- The BIGGEST pro is the odor control. I can't believe how fast it covers it up. My cat has some poop, and this covers it in LITERAL SECONDS. The fastest than any other litter I've tried. I live in a very small apartment and there is NO ODOR, nor is there an old urine smell that many litters tend to have a hard time covering up.- NOOO DUST!! I've tried many other "dust-free" litters and they all have at least some dust, but this one doesnt. When I scoop her box I can actually sit on the floor and lean over the box and not worry that I'm breathing in any dust (or smell).- The clumps are softer-clumping than MANY other litters. Because of this, they not only don't stick to my (very fluffy) cat's butt, but they're also not hard to break up if the clump is too big to easily scoop out. Plus, these clumps don't stink if one breaks - one of my biggest issues with other clumping litters.- The packaging is wonderful. This litter comes in a very big box with a handle and an opening on the side to pour out of, and is so much less of a hassle than litter that comes in a bag or a bottle with no handle. Plus, because the litter has no dust, I don't have to bend over and make sure I'm pouring close to the bottom to minimize it - I can just hold it at a comfortable level and dump! I have back problems that makes hunching over like that hurt, so this is another pretty big PRO for me.Cons:- Cleaning is a little bit more difficult. The pellets are large so they don't easily sift through the scoop and if your cat is like mine and pees in the same spot, you end up with one very large pee clump that you have to kind of break up to scoop out. Luckily this clump is really easy to break apart and releases NO smell when done, but it is still a bit tedious.- TRACKING is kind of bad. It tracks more than a lot of other litters I've tried. Luckily, however, because the pellets are so big it's a lot easier to sweep up and not end up just feeling a sand-like grain under your feet afterwards. All in all, I highly recommend this litter to anyone that is even considering it. It's SO WORTH IT!!

If you have a long haired breed, you're probably familiar with pulling litter dust out of their coat – or your furniture. Because this stuff is packed pellets, there's almost no tracking and my cat finds it much more comfortable to use. Bonus, it's not as environmentally destructive as clay based litter.Note: As for the smell issue the other person complained about, not sure what they're referencing. I've been using this stuff for over a year, and my place never smells like a cat toilet. I'm guessing it depends on how often you scoop the litter.

I love it. For sure. This is some of the best clumping litter there is.Note: The regular clumping variety (not the long-haired clumping variety here) works well too and is less expensive, but it tracks waaaaayyy more. If you have a long-haired cat, and you are tired of cleaning up scattered kitty litter all around your home, this is the perfect solution. If you really care about the environment, and/or your cat's health, read on. Here are some of the great things about this product:-- Great Odor Absorption: I have a great sense of smell, and a very small apartment, and I'm not a fan of the smell of cat feces in my kitchen. Wow, even when my cat doesn't bury it all the way, it still absorbs most of the smell! Happily surprised.-- Natural and "Eco-friendly": I would say "all-natural" but in truth I don't know what the clumping agent is. But compared to clay-based litters - which despite being "natural" are very damaging to the planet both during the mining process of the clay, as well as in the disposal after cat use, since it is in no way biodegradable - this litter is FAR SUPERIOR in terms of its environmental sustainability.-- Non-GMO: Even compared to other seemingly excellent "all-natural" cat litters, such as World's Best (which also have much stronger unpleasant odors than pine) this is STILL the BEST option for environmental sustainability, as it is not made from genetically modified or pesticide-treated crops, and therefore does not support that industry or expose your cat to pesticides. I used World's Best for a long time and was satisfied with its quality, but I refused to continue supporting companies like Monsanto by purchasing GMO corn in the form of cat litter, as the proliferation of GMO crops is a truly terrible practice, with intense social and environmental consequences that most people are unaware of.--Non-dust: As far as dust, many cats, especially older cats, can develop respiratory issues. Choosing a dust-free or low-dust litter - and cleaning your home regularly - can prevent these sorts of issues.--Low tracking: This litter tracks a little bit, but because the pellets are large, they are easy to clean up and don't make it onto the furniture, which is often the case with other litters.Very satisfied to have found a truly environmentally sustainable litter that works very well!Other excellent grooming tools for LONG HAIRED cats:Other excellent quality supplies for ALL TYPES of cats: and other *grain-free* varieties from the same product line

This is the best cat litter I've ever used in my 40+ years of caring for my kitties. This variety of ökocat is especially good for my Maine Coon -- it barely tracks at all, and it's super easy to clean up the few pellets that escape the box. It has excellent odor control, clumps well (it doesn't clump as hard as corn- or clay-based litters -- the clumps are a little more delicate -- but it's still easy to scoop from the box). I've found that corn and/or wheat-based litters tend to ferment or mold in the warm, humid Central Texas environment, but ökocat does not, at all. I have friends who use and love walnut shell-based litter, but I cannot stand it, because it stains all the cats' paws dark brown and they track little tiny bits of it EVERYWHERE. if you go to wipe a counter in the room with the catboxes, the cleaning cloth comes away dark cocoa brown (same color as the litter). I don't understand why anyone would use something that makes the house dirtier (but to each their own! FWIW, they are very happy with it).I was worried ökocat would be too expensive for me to use, but it works so well and stays so clean that I really only have to change out the entire catbox once every two months (though they recommend six weeks, so keep that in mind). It's so much lighter than clay-based litters, there is NO dust, the catbox stays very clean and so does my house. I recommend it highly!
