Fits well. Had an old stool that I’m upgrading. These are a perfect fit. Sturdy in the old legs and to hold the new wheels.

I installed them into the legs of a wooden bench. I used a 7/8” spade bit to drill the holes and tapped them in with a rubber mallet. They seem secure but a hole that was a 1/16 smaller would be better.The caster stem slides into them very easily and don’t grip very well. They don’t fall out but they should be tighter. It’s probably ok since you are putting pressure on them.

I used these to mount casters on a mobile platform. Before the inserts were installed, the casters were a bit loose in them. I drilled holes in the wood frame with a 7/16" Forstner bit and pressed the inserts into the holes. This compressed the inserts slightly and made the casters fit perfectly. A very well-engineered product.
