Total junk. Just received one. As others have noted, it lacks any wiring instructions. I connected it to a bench power supply, 12.8 V DC, per the diagram on the Amazon page for the product. Brown is +12, Blue is return, and Red is load. The unit failed to do anything an then popped off a component inside. It now rattles. I was planning to use it as a squirrel sensor, but I guess I'll just throw it at them instead.

Received this product in a plastic bag with no instructions or wiring diagram, infrared is not woking and this is why I purchased it. I will have to retun it.

Bought this as I thought ours was worn out. The new one works perfectly but keep in mind, if using LED spot light bulbs, you might get interference with the units ability to communicate with the wireless control unit outside. I discovered this myself as my issue. I switch from regular Spots to Led and my unit stopped working, and little did I know, it was not the unit itself. :-)

Like the other reviewers, a lighting strike to the house prompted me to replace the Liftmaster logic board. I had the garage door installer diagnose the garage door opener and he wanted to replace the entire unit. Fortunately, I knew that the logic board could be replaced because I replaced one under warranty at a previous home. I used the Liftmaster website to find the correct logic board part number and hoped that Amazon.com had it because they have the best return policy if there is a problem. The logic board was super easy to replace. However, I was careless and did not record the safety switch and light control wire connections prior to removing them. Please learn from my experience (the only reason why I am writing this review) and pay attention to the wiring connection BEFORE you remove the failed logic board. I had to use trial and error to get the correct wiring connections.I thought that I had to remove the actual board, but you do not. This item comes with the cover and the logic board attached to it. If this logic board fits your garage door opener head, then this is an easy and excellent purchase.
