It sucks. The screw wouldn’t go back into the mounting bracket and then when I tried to undo the thing a little bit, the wire got sliced by the magnet and it was done.

I love it simply it looks like an expensive podium. It was easy to put together between two people. Overall the kids ministry just love it. We can see now whose behind the podium.

Summertime means guests on the patio at our house, which means carrying dishes, glasses, trays of food, and the like in and out our patio door. I wanted the patio door to operate with the push of a button by my elbow, avoiding putting down whatever's in one hand to turn the knob and open the door. By putting a pushbutton at elbow-height on each side of the door and using one of these magnetic door holders going in and out with both hands full is a breeze. Yes, you'll need a small power supply (I used on of the ubiquitous wall-wart black plug-in power supplies) and a relay or a normally-closed pushbutton and the door is held against the wind but openable when you wish. Not content with just that, I added a solenoid from a hatchback car hatch opener, and the the door opens for me with the push of a button and stays secure against the wind the rest of the time. Good project, and this door holding electromagnet made it possible! Highly recommended!

I did not expected this magnetic lock would be so tough. Small and elegant, works great! Would use it again on my next job.
