Have you ever seen those Facebook reels, Where there are "craftsmen" sitting on the ground wearing sandals? Somewhere osha is somebody's name and not a government agency. That's where this garbage came from. The arbor hole was not in the center of the blade. That's where this garbage came from.

First, this is a triple chip tooth blade, with a kerf (wider at the teeth than the blade). Pretty standard for carbide blades made to cut aluminum, and it doesn't require a lubricant like blades with less kerf. This does not cut like my $150+ blade, but then it is nowhere near that price. It does a good job on aluminum extrusions, some cast acrylic I needed to cut, and some other plastics. The finish of the cut edge is good, not great, but leaps and bounds better that using a blade designed for wood cutting to cut these materials. The finish of the cut edge is perfectly satisfactory. I didn't cut enough with it to rate it on longevity; however, I noticed no chipping, burning, or other degradation to the blade in my use. Bottom line - it is well work the price for what you get.

I used this to cut some wood and then aluminum tubing and it works great to cut both. It does throw off a lot of shavings but that is to be expected. It makes cuts with nice square finished ends. As far as lifespan I will have to come back and elaborate on that at a later date as it is still too new to gauge the longevity of the blade.

I have a 14" with 1" arbor chop saw designed to cut metal, plastic, etc. The blade it came with is the abrasive type. That is great for getting through hardened steel as well, but it doesn't leave a cut that is as perfect as an 80-tooth carbide tooth blade. Although this blade is designed for cutting all kinds of aluminum alloys, aluminum profiles, aluminum rods, PVC, non-ferrous metal etc. it is not designed to go through hardened steel. The benefit though is that it leaves a really nice edge. It comes in a cardboard protective case for storage when changing out to other blades.
