This product allowed me to replace the pre-filter on my Honeywell enviracaire model no. 11520. The material is less dense than the OEM pre-filter so I simply used two layers which seems to be roughly equivalent when comparing how much light is blocked by each. The air cleaner operates well with this and will undoubtedly delay the need to replace the hepa filter.

Tuve que esperar a que bajara de precio, ya que, debido a la pandemia todo este tipo de productos subieron mucho de precio, sobre todo si son de importación.La ventaja de comprar estos filtros no sólo es que son originales Honeywell, también al poder cortarlo, comprar uno te podría durar varios meses.

Buy Honeywell for your Honeywell. You will end up saving money and time.I tried using non-Honeywell replacement pre-filters. Although they did work, they also lost their effectiveness much more quickly. Non-Honeywell filters that I tried required much more frequent replacement.I live in Northern California, nearby the many recent forrest fires that have been in the news. Outfitted with the Honeywell Filter A HRF-AP1 Universal Carbon Air Purifier Replacement Pre-Filter, my unit performed flawlessly. It kept my HEPA filter from becoming full of gunk and thereby extended its life under the worst of circumstances: The particulate matter in the air was so thick Sun could not be seen in the sky on some sunny days--was a glowing grey disk.Reading over the review here on Amazon, I'm amazed that so many people have felt comfortable giving extremely bad reviews about this product. Most site the thickness of the filter as the primary reason without giving any evidence that the 'thinnner' Honeywell replacement filter is less effective than the a 'thicker' one they got with the original unit, got at an earlier time, etc..I'm not convinced. Perhaps Honeywell has found a way to make them thinner while also making them as effective or more effective than the thicker ones everyone seems to be crying out for? That would make more sense than these reviews do. By making a thinner, more effective pre-filter Honeywell could save so much money on materials as well as keep its customers happy.Before giving an one star review on an item one should be more objectively certain of his/her assertions...

I love the Honeywell air purifier. The only down side is that the carbon pre-filter has to be changed very regularly. Hence, I am always looking for a good price for this product.Amazon sells this at a "slightly" lower price than our local store.Since this is "universal" filter, it needs to be cut to the custom size specific to the purifier.My only wish is that Amazon can sell this product in a 2 or 3 pack formats at a lower price for volume users.

I purchased this filter for my Honeywell air filtration system model 50250. The filter came in a Honeywell box and I have included photos of the front and back of the box as well as of the filter. The box states that this filter replaces the old Honeywell pre-filter model 38002 which is what my device specifies to purchase. I compared the new filter to one of the older versions and they look identical and they are the same thickness.On the back of the box, which I photographed, is a table that tells you how many filters you can cut out of their one filter based on the model of the air cleaning system you own. In my case with the larger air cleaning system I can only get one filter out of the contents of the box. I hope the information is helpful for you. It would have been nice if the photos on the web page already included photos of the box. This product without a doubt is a Honeywell product.The filter does contain activated carbon to deodorize the air and help to freshen it. It also is designed to trap larger particles like dust, lint fibers and pet fur. We have been using the air cleaning fan for over 15 years. About every 3 months the filters get clogged with so much dust that the red light on the top of the air cleaner comes on and advises you that the pre-filter is dirty. We actually own several shop vacuums and we suck the dust layer off of the pre-filter and insert the combination filter cartridge back into the fan and use it for another three months. After a couple of uses we replace the pre-filter. This may remove a lot of the dust but of course the activated carbon may no longer help to remove any odors in the room.We used to purchase these at a local store and now their website and store people state that this model filter, HRF-AP1, is discontinued. This filter seems to be working well and we will now continue purchasing these from Amazon.By cleaning this filter we are able to use one for about a year.Make sure that you use this filter or you will have to replace your very expensive Hepa filter!I have purchased a lot of these filters and they work well and are less expensive on Amazon than at the local stores.
